The teacher on the far left with the bold head is Mr Hayes, he was still there when I went in the 70s.... he was the headmaster then.
the lad first on left back row is David Hayes no relation to head teacher
I have mentioned this on previous photographs. Mr Hayes, or was it Heyes?,, was the teacher,teaching the "A"class, in the Spring of 1945, when I first went there, from St Mary's Junior school.

My God... so it is Mr Haliwell! He was at the Brittania Bridge when we had woodwork with him... I would never have guessed it was him, but now you mention the name I can that it is.
Three of my cousins are on this, Susan Lowe(now Clark), she is on the front row second from the right,Keith Edwards on the back row third from the right and his brother Billyon the back row six from the right.

Our Susan looks like a little princess sat there our Keith stood behind Susan looks like a little cheeky bugger ( he was).our Billy was no little angel he had a bad side .i was the only one asked to all the birthday parties.
Irene,not seen you or the lads for years hope you are all keeping well and the same for your famliies. live in Bury married to Betty for 42years 2sons1daughter 6 Grandkids 1 more on way in Australia. Very sadly Eldest Son passed away 21/4/2010, ( Cancer) Aged 35 Left 2 daughters 3/5.Life for us has been a Bitch since then.We are both Retired now slowly getting our lives back in gear.Going to Oz next year for a couple of months ,staying with youngest Son and a couple of weeks with our Keith and Lindy.
