That's a lovely photograph...there's something about old photo's that seems to be lacking in modern ones,or is it just my best friend nostalgia that's getting to me again.

I think there was more of an innocence with girls of this age-group than there is now, Maureen, and it shows in their faces.

I went to Notre Dame from 1969 -1974,was this photo taken in the nuns garden,great pick by the way.

The teacher middle front is Miss Isherwood who taught maths when I was there.

The woman in the middle of the front row looks like a young Miss Isherwood who was a maths teacher.

Taken in 1944,,,Thats me on the front row on the left A girl named Sabina is next to me and Monica Rogers on the right on the front row , Margaret Clough is in the middle on the back row , I met her in Lourdes a couple of years ago she was with a coach from St Johns Church which was next to the Convent I did"nt realise who she was till I got home here in Kent , but she gave me her order of service book during a mass in a small chapel and her name was on the book

Yes that was Miss Isherwood , I was in Townsley House , Had a great time
