I was there - but didn't have any brains so never got a prize! Recognise Ian Townley (front, second right) and Jim Hammond (third row, centre folded arms)

Recognize Graham Forrester and Dennis Pilling on the front row. I enjoyed most of my time at TLS But personally I always found speech day to be the most tedious day of the year. I did manage a prize on one occasion but I would not describe myself as an academic success during my time at the Linacre.

Heavens! I think that that is me, second from left on the front row. Took me a long time to recognise myself.
