Bill Cockram is the teacher in the track suit. I know him from my days at Wigan Harriers.

Cockram was still a PE teacher when I was at Cansfield in the early 1980's - there were rumours that he had once killed a lad by making him run around the track until he had a heart attack.

With what you said about Bill making someone run round the field until they had a heart attack made me think of the time he scared a boy so much he wet himself, I won't name him so as not to embarrass him, but it's true.

I was at the school until I left in 1967 and I rember Cockeram Got the cain from once.
