Sylvia. Have you any idea what age the children are in this photo. My dad went to Moss Lane he was born in 1937 and was from Bamfurlong.

Probably about 14 years old, (just doing a bit of quick maths), i.e. probably born around 1933?

They would be 14/15yrs as CherylB says. M.Blackledge should read M.Jones

The photo i put on was when we moved from junior school to sec/mod.This was called first year and we were eleven years old.I left school when i was 15 in 1950.I am now 76.
I can`t understand how Liz Jolley is on your photo and mine with different teachers.I remember Whitehead he taught woodwork. If you made a mess of your work,he hit you on the head with it. and called you a daft rat.He went on holiday to Wales and fell off a cliff.when he came back after a few months he had a walking stick.Teachers took us in turn to the dinner centre down Liverpool Road.We walked down in two`s and not to talk,i did and got hit on the head with his stick,I don`t mean hard, just enough to feel it Happy days,i don`t think so.
