Hi td Happy New Year 2011
I cannot get my bearings on this photo at all.
It looks like Fleet St in the background or could be Church St area?? Anyone recognise it? If it is Fleet St, where are the verandah classrooms? Its seems years ahead of Fred Mason's class. I recognise the faces, if not names of a lot of the kids on the other photos, but not on this one. Anyone name anyone on this photo??
This photo is well before the mid fifties these kids are about 3 or 4 years older than us Tricia, and the extension hasn't been built yet. it looks like the building on the left is in St John St, and the houses to the right are in Fleet St.

Happy New Year... That was what I thought. Keep looking for a photo of my brother on these pics but he is 9 or 10 years older than us
It must be the 50s Nora only started teaching at St Johns in the 50s. There was a building back to back with Fleet street, the only other thing ican think of it could be another school were Nora did her training to be a teacher. Best wishes to you all for 2011.

Nora is looking much younger than I remember also and the structures are so different since that must be Fleet St in the background. I can only surmise that these walls were taken down to build the new classroom extensions.
