Miss this school so much, love Beech Hill year 6 2009
Went to Beech Hill from 1959 to 1963,i remember the flowering cherry trees all along the front.
I remember this school really well and enjoyed my time there. I think I was in each of those classes where you can see the windows. My teachers were Mr Turner, Mrs Hesketh, Mr Gambles and I think my first teacher there was Miss Shepherd.
Enjoyed beech hill school so much from 1960 to 1968, nursery, infants and juniors. In nursery there were Mrs Jones and Mrs Melville. In infants Muss Mary Cleaton and Miss Constance Cleaton. In junior Miss Graham, Mrs Johnson, Mrs Hesketh and Mr Turner. Have lots of memories. One being Mrs Johnson reading the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. On a Tuesday afternoon i think. Everyone in the class was enthralled. Skipping at playtime, learning the recorder and playing with the lady who played the piano, in some of the assemblies. I still have the recorder and the case my mum made me to keep it in 55 years later. Then progressed to the melodica. And finally left to go to WGHS
