Some names please, Phillip. My memories gone blank on me apart from a very few.

Comment by: Roy Millett on 21st November 2010 at 13:13

I need to correct my last posting. It should,of course, read
"My memory's gone blank on me."

2 missing girls were twins believe it or not, one was called Katherine I think, both really into USA.

Comment by: Dot Grime on 9th December 2010 at 18:44

I think the surname of the twins might have been Luck?

Comment by: Phillip Ball on 9th December 2010 at 18:49

Hello Dorothy - I used to sit next to Colin Crompton, do you remember me? So many years ago. I think the name is Katherine Luck, but her sister's name escapes me.

Comment by: irene roberts nee griffiths on 10th December 2010 at 12:46

The other twin was Lenice, (not sure of spelling).

Comment by: Stephen Oddie on 30th December 2010 at 23:15

Phillip, I think this photo is not 3A but 4A. Miss Anderton was our form teacher for the first three years, then she went do do VSO or something similar in Africa. This form teacher is Miss Evans who only lasted a year. Then Miss Topping was our form teacher.

Hello Steven. Yes, you are right. I wasn't sure, so it's class 4A in 1969. Do you still live and work in Hindley, I haven't spoke or seen you since 1972, I think?

Comment by: Stephen Oddie on 1st January 2011 at 19:28

Phillip, that's right, we went our separate ways in 1972. I went to University and then qualified as a teacher. I still live in Hindley in the same house as all those years ago. I retired early from teaching a few years ago. Do you still live/work locally?

Comment by: Phillip Ball on 2nd January 2011 at 12:44

Hello Stephen. No, I live and work in Switzerland since 1981.
Perhaps, we can meet for a chat when I visit my sister who lives in Westhoughton?

Comment by: Stephen Oddie on 2nd January 2011 at 23:44

Phillip, that would be great. I'll now check this page a few times a week, then we can sort something out.

Comment by: Phillip Ball on 3rd January 2011 at 17:04

Stephen, I will probably be coming over during Easter-time. We can get together then.I am sure that we'll have a lot to discuss.

Yes, twins were Kathryn and Lenice Luck. It was Kathryn and I who were really into the Kennedys and all things American. Teacher was Tamara Evans - 'Tamara's World'.

Comment by: a friend of Lenice Kuck while at Leeds University on 9th February 2014 at 21:39

I understand that Lenice died. Does anyone know?

I remember Marian Dobson.....we were friends, as were our parents, before HAGS when we lived near to each other in Ince. I'm not a great one for reunions etc. but would just like to say "hello" and best wishes to all.

Hello Carole. I would like to see you all again after nearly 42 years. I will be visiting the UK this summer. How could I contact you - do you have an email?

Comment by: Phillip Ball on 17th December 2014 at 17:12

Hello Steven (Oddie) - can you send me an email - your previous email address doesn't work. Kind regards, Phil.

Hi
I was a couple of years in front but remember many from this class.
Know Living in Denmark but visit UK every few months.
Good luck to all those WHO remember these good years.

2015 and just looking at the old pics. I have been working in Middle East and North Africa 1980-6 and 2008 to present. Hope there can be a reunion. Bumped in Shirley Anderton in Abu Dhabi a few years ago

Only just discovered this site. Lost touch with everyone once Friends Reunited closed. Live in Melbourne now but am enjoying reading about everyone’s lives. Wish everyone well.
