remember those runs used to send up through winstanly hall and back down the long wall. dave heaton me kevin mcconnell dave housley used to take a short cut through the woods and join in againnear the colliery, dave housley provided the capstan full strength

Algie Dawber coming in from the intermediate cross country race. The person in all white is myself (Andrew Corner) coming in to take the tape and winning the senior cross country. in 1956.

Andrew are you Margaret Corners brother? She was in my class at Highfield Junior school I was fascinated by her plaits. Does she live in Wigan? How is she? Always nice to know your ex school pupils are keeping O.K.
