I knew the chap at the front. He worked at Pilkingtons in St Helens. His name is David Payne.

Thank you for posting, as an ex-Grammar boy it jogged my memory of those years of the 50's and 60's.

I've seen this picture before. I believe it was taken in Rudesheim in the Rhineland where my husband I later visited on recommendation. This picture was taken in the recreation and open air swimming pool area. I can recommend Rudesheim to any one passing that way.

What about Fred Lumb?

Comment by: Raz on 23rd August 2010 at 18:08

Fred Lumb wasnt in Tony's year. He was older. Anyway I dont think his name was Fred. Fred was a nick name.

Comment by: Tips on 17th September 2010 at 15:03

It was John Lumb. I think someone in that year gave them all different names. Ian Dickinson was Roy and David Payne was Joe. There were probably a few others too.

Love this photo of these three best mates. They all look so youthful and happy. Tony Worswick was my cousin and I remember Joe and David (Joe) from school days and great nights spent with Tony, at many of his business enterprises. They were good times. So, thanks for the memory and R.I.P. Tony, c u in heaven x
