Are you in that team, Trevor? And isn't that Parry Gordon, not John Gordon, as the paper portrayed?

the team John l to r. D Lowe, me,H Merrin,A Ashcroft played for England schoolboys,J Cadman played for Swinton,D Nicholls, P Gordon played for Warrington,J Melling also played for Warrington, behind him T Broxton,E Willis, P Greenall.

Tony, Dave Berry who went on to play for Macc town played for Newton in that match. In the round before we played Horwich tech. who had Frank Lee who went on to play for PNE.

Worked with Alan Ashcroft in Skem. He has since retired and is in good health. Always remember his photograph in the corridor at Highfield, with his England caps...was a great school, with some great lads...I was there: 1965-69

john j, i also worked with alan ashcroft at dewrance in skem, good to know he's well, not seen him since i left in '94.

John they were the best of times, that year we won two soccer cups the Wigan schools cricket competition, Charlie Seeling 7 a side cup for rl.a great bunch of lads.

Parry Gordons name was actually John Parry Gordon.
