This was our class, these pupils left school at Christmas 1958, I think Kathryn Naylor stayed on longer and defected to 4 Alpha, she could not bear to leave Whelley College of Knowledge!! The smiling faces are from left to right, back row - Anne Weaver, Joyce Smalley, Glenis Cherry, Les Peet, Len Berry, Malcolm Bannister, Anne Wynn, Joyce Perry, (form master Mr Horace Edwards). Middle row, left to right: Doreen Tudor, Kathryn Naylor, Lila Lever, Marion Culshaw, Barbara Holland, Sandra Sutton, Jean Taylor, Irene McDonald. Front row, left to right: George Bennett, Francis C. Jones, Philip Harrison, Brian Culshaw, Brian Arrowsmith.

My dad is Brian Francis Culshaw, he worked as an electrician (North West electricity board), he has 3 Children and married to Agnes (Gallagher). Sadly He passed away in June 2013 from cancer, he is buried in St Elizabeth's of Hungary, Aspull. He had a good life and was a great father. RIP
