Wigan Album

A match played by this team in March 1964 was the subject of four National newspaper editorials as the referee of their match at Southport KGV school sending off both teams.
The team had some success beating Orrell Colts and West Park amongst others.
DaveBrown went on to play for St Helens RL Club; Alan Curless scored Seven tries for Wigan A team in one game: Andy Simms captained Wigan rufc for many seasons: Alan Hodkinson was a first team regular for many seasons at Wigan RUFC and later their Coach, Dereck Birchall played for them also but put so much back into rugby with Wigan Schools RL.
A Great team and it was a great joy to be part of their team.
