Bill Gleave went on to work for the NCB as a management trainee and from there to lecture in mining at the Wigan Mining College. He left there to work at Stoke on Trent mining college. He got a degree in mining at Wigan Tech

Correct Dave . My Dad who died at Wigan Cricket Club- he spent more time there than at home! (His ashes are scattered there also!)
