In September 1995 St John's amalgamated with the little school ('Aspull New Springs County Infant School' to give it its proper title) in Kirkless Street.
It was a split site school with the juniors in the Wigan Road building, and Miss Gladwin, the Head, was there for most of the time.
The infants and nursery (now called 'St John's') stayed in their old building with Mrs Dawson as Deputy Head, until she moved on and Miss Holmes took over.
This photo is of the Christmas play that the afternoon nursery children performed that year - 1995.
