Just looking through my school and other local schools and noticed this one. I think the girl on the front row, third from the left is Julia Burke from Platt Bridge. Used to go to school with her at Holy Family Platt Bridge if it is - can anyone confirm? I heard that she had gone into nursing, anyone got any information as to where she is now and what she is doing. Used to live right near her, I believe her dad was a Captain of a Merchant Navy ship, as he seemed to sail the world and bring Julia such lovely presents from Hong Kong, India etc - amazing.

I was a friend of Julia's at Hindley Grammar and still send a Christmas Card. She is fine but has suffered from ill-health in the past. She is married to George McKie and lives in Warrington. Her mum Gertie sadly died about two years ago. Julia has no children.

Yes, that is Janet Flanagan.

2nd from right middle row is Ann Banks. Second from right front row is Liz Cottriall and 4th from left front row is Christine Bell if I remember rightly. They were in the year below me
