My mum, Bettie Atherton (Laithwaite) is in the bottom right corner. She attended NDHS from 1934 to 1939.
This is a picture taken in 1935 of girls at St. John`s school, not the Convent. I know because I am in the picture. Many of the girls here went on to the Convent,
Correction - sorry ! I got the date wrong. This must have been 1934 - probably taken in the Spring of that year
I am sure that the girl on the left hand side, with half her face missing, is my mum, who was Winnie Cheetham. My mum had a copy of the full photo. She was 11 in 1934 and at St. John's before going to Notre Dame in September 1934
I'm sure either my mum, Margaret Kay or her sister Barbara are on this somewhere, but can't spot them. Mum would have been 9 in 1934 & Barbara 8.
