What street is this Thomas ?
this is on liverpool rd looking up from railway bridge towards moss lane.
Jack Grundy was the Mace bearer, I think that's Stan Greenwood to the left.
That's my Uncle Jack Grundy in front swinging the baton!!
Great guy!
This is my Dad (there can't have been a better Dad), Jack Grundy, carrying the mace. At the time of this picture he would have lived on Bank Street in Platt Bridge.
Just shown this photo to my Dad, he says the man to the left is Stan Greenwood, the man hidden behind the big drum is Tom Scott and the one who is second back on the right is Jackie Morris.
The drummer behind Stanley Greenwood is me, and the one in the front row, along with Stanley Greenwood and Jack Morris is Maurice Porter. I think the guy behind him is Joe Hindley
Looking at the cobbles on the road, it was always nice hearing the sound of clogs on the cobbles.
