This photo shows my cousin Pat Riley on the banner 1952, 3rd girl from left. I'm sure all Downallgreeners will recognise that this was taken in Elm Ave, after the Lilac Ave turning with the Blue Bell & Rectory school in the background. Note how big the bouquets are - huge. The date on this is accurate as it was written on the back of the photo.

Good un sue, i remember school in background very well, i lived in elm ave for 20+ yrs.

I wish I had a pound for every time I walked up Hawthorn then Lilac and Elm to get to school and back.
