A rare picture of Mr Bryson on St Mary's Walking Day, thought to date back to 1928, in which year new cassocks were provided by the Girls Guild... and Joe (left) and Dick (right) Goulden demonstrate that they were outgrowing theirs. The shot was taken in Coronation Street, Spring View, with the bay-windowed houses either side of Constantia Street on Warrington Road behind. To the left is the side wall of the Police Station. Joe Goulden later owned a Grocery shop at 231 Warrington Road, on the site of the present Windleshaw House, on the corner of Delegarte Street. Thanks to Joe's family for adding this pic to St Mary's archive.
