is that Alf Taylors shop I can see in the background?
If it is Alf Taylor's... then at the time this shot was taken the Marlborough Avenue side-street would have been known as Duke Street, the street at the end of the terrace they are passing would have been Pearson Street (now called Repton Avenue)
