Nice photo Bob, I knew Maurice Monk, but can't recognise anyone else on the photo, are they all from Wigan,or are they from other areas of the country as well?.

Maurice Monk is my 'uncle', he married auntie Myrra who is my dads cousin. They used to have the bakery shop at Orrell best pies an bread! They did the catering at my wedding reception, best roast beef you will ever taste! My dads family have always been involved with Bethel. In fact the mother and toddler group on a Thursday morning makes the best toast going!

Maurice Monk is my uncle, he is my dad's brother. My dad is Graham Monk and they had an older brother Alan who sadly died this year (2015).

Hi Bob, not been on WW for quite a while so only just seen these comments. Tony was my dad, I feel I should know you? Sadly no one to ask 😔

Hi Elayne, I knew your Dad very well, in fact I knew all his family...Maurice, Ella, Brian, Peter, Tony, and twins Dorothy and Anne. I lived in the chip shop opposite their grocers shop in Ormskirk Road, Pemberton and I still go to Bethel Church. My dear old pal Maurice Monk was my Best Man and he lived with us for many years. If you want to know our history speak to either Stephen or Phillip Rollins.
