An early 1900's postcard. Can anyone identify the location? I can see the shop says BAMFURLONG COOPERATIVE SOCIETY.
A nice clear image of a tram.

It is Lily Lane, on the Platt Bridge/Bamfurlong border. It wouldn't have been very far down Lily Lane as The Holy Family Walking Day would only have walked to the boundaries of its parish before turning round and walking back. The transport, (the 320 bus these days), still goes along that road to Ashton.
