The old boy's school in the background, with Mr Finney (Jim) holding the pole of the banner. I recognise 2 of the children , younger than me. I would say 1956. The girl in the middle is 4th from left Rosaline Hart's (nee Hanley) daughter Judith. They had the shop at the top of Higham St.
I may be wrong Veronica, but when I first saw this photo I thought the girl 4th from the left was Margret Forshaw. Bernadette Forshaw's niece. The lady who used to sew the dresses for walking day. Also I remember Lillian Hart from the shop near were you lived, but not Judith.Correct me if I'm wrong.xx
It's definitely Judith the shop was across the road from our house. She was younger than us Edna. Lillian had an older brother and her sister was younger.
This photo was taken in 1961, it is already in the Walking Day section showing some of the names.
I didn't know Lillian had a younger sister Veronica, sorry. I can't remember any of the other girls though.
That little girl is Judith Hart, there is an older sister Lillian and an older brother Anthony -they are my cousins.
