John Myers (Shared St/Bedford St) with his Daughter Vivien presumably at the start or finish of the walk? Did people really wear such dramatic hats and coats back then? just jeans and t shirts nowadays!

Ho! and yes they did wear such dramatic hats and coats. This is the 1950's.They even went on the beach at Blackpool with a shirt and tie on.

Edna, I can remember my parents dressed up to the nines on Blackpool beach as late as 1968, I think peole started to relax more by the 70's.
