The shop facia board says, "Wigan Printing Co Ltd" as near as I can make out, though where exactly this was I don't know.

Wigan Printing Company had premises on the corner of Chapel Lane and Harrogate street I think this may be it? I can remember going there to buy small pads of drawing paper which they obviously made up from the left over pieces of paper.

Harry C mentioned the printer's subsequent shift to premises on Chapel Lane (Item 29538).

As Veronica comments Ron. Douglas Street is a very long way from St George’s Church, especially for youngsters to walk. Is it a street off Pottery Road?.

Albert Douglas Street was more or less opposite the 2nd Wigan baths. Just higher up from the old fire station on the opposite side of Chapel Lane
