Great pic. Got my first mortgage in 1973/4 from the council - in the offices you can see in this pic.Bought a 2-bed terrace in Warrington rd Platt Bridge for £1,200. Sounds laughable now doesn't it?
The oldest girl at the front (i.e. with the longest ribbon and what appears to be a row of rosebuds in her hair) looks a lot like my mother, Cathie nee Marsden (1916-1998). I am pretty sure it's her, so many thanks for publishing the photo.
