This pic was lent to me by Mrs Alice Massa. I don't know anyone on it but perhaps someone does. One bit of interest is that the banner was sent to Liverpool for repair but was destroyed in the blitz there. To the left of the pic can be seen Iona house, once the vicarage but now a children's nursery

I can't pretend to be a fashion expert but it looks like the 1920's to me.

Gosh I love this photo... The young woman's face on the right reminds me so much of early photos of my mother. Of course my mother was born in Australia in 1921, but I cant help but see such a striking resemblance. Makes you wonder if could be someone from her mother or father's family in Wigan back then. No other photo has made me think that! My mum was so pretty in her pictures when young, (I never looked anything like her though!).
