Can anyone recognise the street? It is "little Billinge Road" before Alexandra Crescent was built. Nearest to the camera is Harry Brighouse, a Boys Brigade stalwart, Edna, my wife is in the middle and Alan Kirk is on the far side. Note the cobblestones!

That is Sellars van in the opening. A bedford The reg was PLG something

I walked with Highfield round about a year or so later than this.

It is 'little' Billinge Road, Josie, as Fred says under the photo. It is off Ormskirk Road, Spring Bank, Pemberton.

the clinic and the rest of the row of houses were demolished years ago and more houses built.Do you remember the "nit nurse" who came to school to rummage through your hair? She was based here and if you were infested, your hair was cropped off into a bucket!!

yes Fred, we called her Nora, I also remember visiting the living quarters of your shop with somebody, but I cant think who.
