Hi keith lovely clear picture mate, i'm not to sure but the lady at very front looks very much like edna battersby from station rd garswood, she was doctors receptionist for as long as i can remember.
lady in front is mrs hazeldine, she lived in palm ave.
Hi Dave,
The lady at the front is my auntie, Ethel Haselden from Palm Avenue. The 3rd lady is Mrs Halliwell, then Mrs Fox, Keith's mum.
The lady on the left hand edge of the photo is Mrs.Ratcliffe from Poplar Ave. and I think the little girl, across the road, between Mrs.Halliwell and the second lady is Janet Fellows.
oh thanks folks for correcting me, did mrs hazelden have a son named brian.
Yes Dave and another Graham, plus older sister Ann
Thanks erwick, remember brian i did jury service with him in late 70s, i think he lived across rd from mick middlehurst in palm ave, good old days not seen him in a long while hope he's ok.
Hi lyndon, you must have a very good memory to recognise janet so young,i went school with janet's younger sister audrey lovely family,i also remember your family living next door to them, what a lovely estate it was then i could problably name and tell you where most famalies lived on the estate, we should have a quiz lyndon and get all ex greeners involved and let's see who's geet best memory.
A great idea Dave. We could put a street map on and then let people comment on who lived where. To avoid confusion it would have to be done in stages with a map for each stage. Stage one could be 1948-70 when we were all growing up.
I went to school with Janet and it does look like her, could that be Mrs.Smith (Elm Ave, Mum of Margaret,Audrey & Pat)holding her hand?
Yes it is my mum on right hand side. With. Janet fellows. Loved jelly Sunday when all the. Family's. Got. Together and you. Meet. People you only see once a year those. Where the days . E
