DON`T KNOW THE YEAR.
This is lovely, Harry, set in the cobbled back entry. All the little girls used to carry those posies, and we used to have a big hem on the dresses so they could be let down as we grew.If there was a bit of material left, it was made into a "dorothy bag" and people would dash out into the procession to give us threepenny-bits or sixpences to put in it.Lovely memories!
Stuart looks to be about 5-6yrs so I would date this around 1962-3
Ah but... does anyone know where it is?
I do... not telling just yet.
Harry, a lovely photograph, you have stired a few memories for me this last few posting.
I'm sure Geraldine lived on Walthew Lane. Looks like it could be in between Walthew Lane and Sydney Street and the road you can see at the top would be Neville Street
Yes, it is around that area...I used to walk our dog around there.
CK Your right its at the back of our house in Sidney Street.Brought a smile to my face seeing our kid in that hat.

HI JACKIE THE PHOTOS HAVE BEEN IN A DRAWER FOR YEARS.I TOOK THEM AND DID A BIT OF PHOTOGRAPHY THEN.YOU LIVED NEXT TO US ON WALTHEW LANE WHICH WAS MR AND MRS CLOUGH`S.OPPOSITE LIPTROTS COACHES.I GAVE THE SNAPS TO GERALDINE ON HER STALL AT WIGAN MARKET.WHO I SEE QUITE A LOT.

I have walked down those backs many a time coming home from Moggy Lane School. I lived just off Victoria Road... but those backs were handy to walk down... we could have our ciggies out of the way!

Sorry James, I can't remember a Derek Walker when i was in the BB.
stuart we lived in sydney st at number 40 my gran granddad lived at the top end of sydney st at 38 my mam was vi and my dad tommy he work on the buses at lut.
I used to live on Walthew Lane but used to go to Lunns for a loaf for a gentleman called Bill, I think his surname was Bithell. Loaf was unsliced and wrapped in tissue paper as they were then and I was told I used to bite all the corners off the loaf before I gave it to him. I also remember the house had no electricity but a gas mantle in the front room.
Bill lived in Sidney Street. (Senior moment - forgot),
