The lady standing by the door is my grandmother Elizabeth Roper and i think the lady passing by was mrs Bennet.

That photo is magic. It sums up what it was like at those times. The old lady passing by the young girls is another wonderful image. How times have changed in the last forty years or so. Some for the better, some for the worse.
