Not been in there for about Thirty Years, Harold Ashurst was the Landlord at the time and had many a chat about his cruising holidays aboard the QE2, Canberra etc

When I was growing up I always used to look through the windows and I always thought it looked posh for some reason.

The photo was taken during WWI, and they are soldiers (possibly Wigan Territorials) on a halt during a route march.
