My father was President of the Legion for a long time. His name was John Heaton. There was also Tom Hilton Jack Evans Fred Tattersal was one steward. Also Tom Scott was on the committee he was my Uncle. We used to go on the yearly trips to Southport and I was in the Morris Dancers
ha ha, I am laughing so much, so many old names on here, as you can gather from mine, Margaret and Mick Moxham are my mum and dad. I had my 21st at the club, and Bill Rostron taught me how to drive! Gordon Wilsons children babysat for me until i was then old enough to babysit for his youngest Suzanne. Memories
Very funny Diane - you didn't tell everyone that your Dad (Mick Moxham) isn't even called 'Mick'!
Ah yes, for those of you who dont know, Mick Moxham is not his correct name, it is Gerard. Quite funny because we used to get Christmas cards to Margaret, Michael and Diane, thinking Michael was his Sunday name. Well from now on you an all call him Gerard
hi diane i also spent loads of time in here before i met mi wife in 1985, then it all changed, i could only go in 5 nights a week.
Hi Diane Gerard Moxham old schoolmate of mine,(St.Cuthberts).In those days, known as Gerry, remember me to him ,and Margaret.
Did Bob Myers die in november 2001 he was a good friend of my dads Eddie Davies

My dad used to go to the Legion in the late 60's and early 70's. He's called John Cross. He used to drink with Bob Mayers who owned Mayers Coaches. My mum used yo go and see Catologue Joe(?) who sold ex-catologue stuff. All the women went.
