I mean't The Bamfurlong pub, Jim. Probably got mixed up because the pubs so near the railway line!

Jim you were so lucky to have Wilf as a dad,so laid back,unflappable,should imagine he was always alreet for a sub,uncle Vince total opposite

Dad passed away on Friday 27 January

I was a secondman at "the Branch" from '85 to @87 and Wilf was always a pleasure to be with. He would always let you drive, infact on one job we had he stayed in the back cab with the Guard and I drove the whole trip - priceless experience, but very unofficial!! like Did he make home made beer as I seem to remember him always talking about the stuff? Sad to hear he has past on, a true railwayman!
