Enhancement has its critics and supporters but whatever your view I do think it brings out, to some extent, the personality of these lovely young women. The larger the portrait the more character I believe you can ‘see’ or imagine, but that’s just my opinion. There is simply not enough room to submit larger versions.
What lovely girls, and they worked so hard. I have a picture of my Auntie Sally as a bit-brow lass in the 1950s but it is already on the Album so I can't really put it on again. It is under "people" and then under "Griffiths".
No thick lips or lashes like spiders just bonny faces..I just hope that they or their relatives recognise some of them.?.God love them all.
Au Naturel every one of those girls. The young girl third from the left looks about 12. Even though they are dressed for work they still look fresh and innocent. Girls these days don’t realise the beauty of their own youthful faces.

Some of these girls look quite young they probably spent rest of there working life as pit brow girls salt of the earth
Some of these 'girls' look like lads.
