That should be enough to have his name mentioned. They are his property.

I remember going to the 150th commemoration at Liverpool Road in Manchester, it was a good day out. I seem to recall that the original unrestored Stephenson's Rocket was on display at Liverpool Museum at the time, the Lion was restored for the event.

This photo along with some other train and bus photographs were sent to me by someone who for some reason can't upload them themselves.
I went through all the copyright situation a few years ago and was informed that once something is put on the internet it is deemed to be in the Public Domain and therefore free for anyone to access?

Well said Ron, now get off his back.

Keep them coming Ron, I had the same problem a couple of years ago when one chap decided that the photos I was scanning out of a book I had, were illegal and as such I was liable for copywrite theft, my answer was that it was better for me to publish them so that a wider audience was able to view them, and it was a good advert for whoever took the photos in the first place.

"Well said Ron, now get off his back."

The original `Lion` is in the Museum of Liverpool. It featured in the film `The Titfield Thunderbolt` made in 1953 and was recently shown again on TV.

Nice to look at - all shiny and clean - in the museum of Liverpool Life but sadly no longer in running condition and unlikely to run again.
