I think that ladder would give the health and safety a few problems! What are they doing, are they repairing the gas light or lighting it. From a postcard postmarked in 1903

The photographer is looking up Wallgate. Wallgate station station on his left and North West station behind him. The building on the left is the Clarence Hotel facing King St.
