Josie I was told that the house was situated at the top of Millers Lane or Foggs Lane as it was then known. This could have been true since it would have been one of the few green areas in Platt Bridge. Best Wishes Steve.

I find that a little confusing. The green space at the top of Millers lane which ran into Foggs Fold was part of the farm there, the building was an old one. I think there is a photo on this site of the farm.

Maggie there was some common land apart from the farm land. To the rear of the old Wesleyan cricket ground across to the Iron Bridge past the Perch Pit. Im not sure exactly where the House would have been but the person who told me had an interest in local history.

There is a lot more about the original site of this building in the Platt bridge section of the photos.
