this is my grandads shop i also woked there after dad died

This was an excellent bakery right to the close I was a freind of Stephen Lyon inmy school days and remember wayne ronnie stephen and their mum & dad

I still live directly opposite where this shop was and bought from there regulary when I was at school. best pies and cakes around and a great price. Home baking at its best.When Elva retired it was taken over a couple of times still as a bakery but neither did as well as Lyons and didn't tase as good either plus were much dearer. Now it is flats.

My Mum Doreen Davies used to work there in the 1970's. I remember all the good cakes, Savoys,Yo Yo's, Boats,Butterfly Cakes.

That's my grandad, grandma, and mum.don't know who the lady on the right is. Grandad used to bake me little loaves on Saturday afternoons with the left over dough.

That is my granddad,grandma who I never met and my dads sister auntie millie.I don`t know the person on the end but grew up working my w/ends and summer holidays there .great times

My mother used to do deliveries for them in the green van. She worked on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the sixties, and I sometimes used to go along and help during the school holidays
