hya joan i remember your dad having his shop in new springs he made clogs for my boys when they were young always met with a lovely smell of leather and shoe polish when you went to his shop i remember him being in the little shop in the yard then moving onto the front street

hi Joan my dads name was Lot Birkett we lived in Longfield street just through the little entry i bet your dad remembers haigh brass band my dad played with there was a lot of the Birkett family living in New Springs when your dad had the cloggers
