These are great pictures Mr Daniel ! I love steam engines & was able to see some at the weekend here where I live. it was the '? anniversary ' of Dr Beeching's axe falling.
As a child I used to watch the Flying Scotsman go by, we used to run down from my grandparent's house in St Clements Rd to climb onto the railings by a crossing. On a visit to Wigan a few years ago I managed to find the railtrack again, houses built right to the rails now!
