I uploaded the original photo of Woolden Street, Newtown a few years ago. But recently I met local artist Alec Jones from Standish-Lower-Ground, who I asked could he paint the scene with a few added extras like the train going over at the back. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out, and he is looking for commission work, so if you have an old sentimental photo you would like turned into a painting, then Alec is the man! Original photo was stamped 1907 postmark.
