I really don't mean to moan but you need to get your facts right. The 'Wigan Dialect' page seems to be a complete mockery to wiganers everywhere. half the words are just ridiculous for example 'Yonder' believe it or not, We aren't shakespearian! Others are incorrect because I have definitely heard people say 'Reet' as right but it is usually used as another way to say hello. Artawreet is complete gibberish.
I really hope you take what I say into consideration,

I used to live in Hindley Green and went to Cardinal Newman High School - i am now approaching age 50 and wonder if theres anyone out there who attended the same school whos now approaching their big 50!!

I was a conductor on LUT busses at Platwaz bus depot moons ago had to do 6 weeks training at Howe bridge depot then .Conductors were suppassed with 1 driver busses,hadn"t bin there longenough 4 driver training so bye bye. Played in goal for depots footy team and had many a good time up stairs in club after last No/1 route Athy/St Helens run.Live in Elinor St Newtown remember watching Wigan buses leaving depot

there was plenty of Brennans or brennens lived in wigan. you are better putting this on PEOPLE . you will get a better response.

Why are certain roads, example being Swan Lane classed as being in Hindley when infact Swan Lane is actually in Hindley Green. We even have signs saying "Welcome to Hindley Green" but it seems Wigan World wiped Hindley Green from the map.
