Great nostalgic site, lots of info & pics.

Does anyone know if the Presbyterian Church is still standing in Chapel Lane. My mother & father were married there in 1931. If its gone are there any pics of it ?

I can't believe how beautiful the place I'm moving to is. I mean I live in Wales and we have some stunning views but the way these have been captured are amazing. Looking forward to my new life there now.

I'm looking for relatives of the Shropshire Davies family. Several moved and settled to the Wigan area in the mid to late 1800s.

Thanks a grreat site - I've already found the date a great uncle died.

Great site lived in Zambia 25 years. Grandparents Bill and Polly lived in New Springs, longbridge Street. Dad Roy and his siblings Terry, Alan, Tommy and Joyce were well known in the area.

Good site. Easy to use. I'm still looking for Dennis White and John Bishop, late of Warrington Road, Newtown. Old mates from the 'Jaw Bone'. By the way, is the 'Jaw Bone' still standing?
