this photo made me feel so sad. Melancholy drags us down. sometimes these photos bring a lump to the throat for times gone by. seeing these pleasure halls in ruins is like seeing your memories smashed. (perhaps it better not to look?) (now I REALLY am feeling melancholic. (will be quoting poetry next) "if men could learn from history, what lessons it would teach us.
