What beautiful colours in the sky! Nature is the greatest artist of all.

At school we had a teacher who called the whole class “Lazy drones!” I wonder why - they can take great photos…even if they are worked by humans!

I think they blew up the cooling towers a few weeks back . It was on TV.

Lovely photo, Fiddlers ferry power station almost demolished. The station was decommissioned since 2020.

Comment by: John Noakes on 28th December 2023 at 19:23

If they blew up Blackpool Tower, Blackpool would still be there too,

Judging by the detritus the t.v. companies have chosen suitable to broadcast on t.v. for the past ten years or more in the name of entertainment , I would have considered it a blessing had they blown up the transmission masts on Winter hill at the same time Colin …

Merely my opinion mind, as some may find
“ Married at first sight
Australia ) “ and its ilk absolutely riveting …there being no accounting for taste after all .

Still , I do look forward to seeing Chitty Chitty soddin’ Bang Bang , The Great Escape , and the Heroes of bloody Telemark at least once a year .

It must be well worth the 170 odd quid licence fee just to watch Steve McQueen getting tangled up in the barbed wire … ( for the umpteenth time ) …
Surely ?

Have I missed Jason and the Argonauts? I hope I haven’t missed Jason and the Argonauts!

You wouldn’t have missed WhiteChristmas where it snows on demand - it was on 3 channels. Oh! it wouldn’t be a wonderful life without Jimmy Stewart getting ‘bout himself’ would it?
Not forgetting The Dirty Dozen up to tricks with Lee Marvin. And what about Father Christmas up in court on 34th Street - now that was a miracle… still another 12 months to go and we’ll see old big eared Bing again.
