My lovely horse
Running through the fields
Where are you going With your fetlocks
blowing
In the wind?

I want to shower you
with sugar lumps
And ride you over fences
Polish your hooves every single day
And take you to the horse dentist

My lovely horse
You’re a pony no more
Running around
With a man on your back
Like a train in the night

That is a lovely crystal clear photograph, Harry, one of the best.

A beautiful sight for sore eyes. A few years ago my wife wanted to ride a horse and I found a Riding School for the Disabled at Aspull. She got her wish and had about 6 rides then Covid stopped every thing. Now physically/mentally would not be safe to get her onto a horse. We make up for this by having rides out to see horses in the fields.

That's a fantastic in your face image Harry and a fine study in perspective.
I like the no nonsense title too and the 'lovely horse' made me chuckle thinking about Ted and Dougal's entry into Eurovision .

It looks like it's wearing a scarf.

Awwwww, he's gorgeous! Even though he's brown, the theme tune from "Black Beauty" came straight into my mind when I saw him. And that cheeky look he appears to be giving to the camera took me back to the first time "Mr. Ed" spoke on the telly and my brother fell off the couch laughing! (Showing my age now!). What a lovely photo on this sunny morning, Harry. Thankyou.

What a handsome horse he is and friendly too. I bet he’s happy having all that space around for him to run wild.

It was Mr Ed Veronica and not Mr Ted. We all knew what you meant.

Comment by: Veronica on 27th May 2023 at 16:34

I know Alan I really meant Mr Ted because of breach of copyright…
Well observed though - as usual.;o))

Comment by: Sally on 28th May 2023 at 12:19

The shadow on its neck spoils it for me, and the way it seems to have only one eye

Comment by: Poet on 29th May 2023 at 12:57

It would be difficult to take a side view of an horse and show both eyes , unless perhaps you're Picasso !

Comment by: Veronica on 29th May 2023 at 21:08

‘E’ that ‘pome’ I’m almost sure I heard it on Father Ted and it won a competition if I recall…lol…
