By the side of you know where
By the side of you know where   by Ron Dawber  (Sony SLR)
.. or Haigh hotel.

Interesting photo Ron. To me it is not a balanced structure that you have shown us. That size of chapters could support a more substantial pergola.

Comment by Mick on 9th April 2017 at 06:51
If I was not picking Ron I would say this new pagoda is at the rear of the new Haigh hotel

Comment by Howard P on 9th April 2017 at 06:55
I suspect Haigh Hall, Ron.
Great..be packed today with the nice hot weather.

Comment by Ann on 9th April 2017 at 07:00
Pardon my ignorance, but what is it!!!

Comment by Garry on 9th April 2017 at 07:15
Those four stanchions look old and from somewhere else. Not too sure what it's for/is.
Let's not spoil Haigh Hall with eye sores like this, sorry but not for me Ron, whatever it is or it's purpose.

Comment by Helen of Troy on 9th April 2017 at 07:45
What is it Ron ?
The suspense is killing me......

Comment by Hugh Wilson on 9th April 2017 at 09:14
It is not a pagoda Mick. It is a pergola. Surely someone who has travelled as extensively in Asia as you have would have known that??

Comment by Fred Mason on 9th April 2017 at 09:16
It's a number nine bus stop..!!!

Comment by Mavis on 9th April 2017 at 09:32
It is at back of hall, I think once the hall is open for functions within the hotel it will be used for outside parties, perhaps a bar or barbeque or food server they have cleared all round the back at first I thought they were making a larger carpark for hotel guests, but now that is there perhaps I,m wrong....

Have non of you ever been to a "posh" hotel for a wedding? The pergola will be dressed up for weddings and the bride and groom and guests will use it as a backdrop for their photos.

Comment by Dave (Oy) on 9th April 2017 at 10:38
It's going to be covered with climbing plants and used for wedding photos.

Comment by JDH on 9th April 2017 at 12:16
Is the structure complete? Doesn't seem to serve much purpose if it is.

Comment by britboy on 9th April 2017 at 13:17
Encourage some clematis or honeysuckle to grow over it.

Comment by Tommy on 9th April 2017 at 19:25
With CCTV camera right next to it.

Comment by Ken R on 10th April 2017 at 15:43
Oops. That first comment should read "chapiters" not chapters.
