Lovely photo, Roger. What a great time of the year. I remember the smells in Autumn also. Just read that Haigh woodland is now owned by the Woodland Trust.

I Would say the sun is coming over the photographer's right shoulder .and not taken into the sun. But that does not stop it being a pleasant picture.

The Woodland Trust are going to start thinning out all those overgrown rhododendron like they have done in the Rivington Japanese gardens.
